Technology industry experts believe advanced mobile telecommunications service is about to grow rapidly throughout the Gulf region, with the UAE and Saudi Arabia leading the way, local media reported Tuesday.
Video sharing, social media and smartphone applications are have been embraced by a bulk of the youth in the Arab world, where they make up 60 percent of its population.The sale of smartphones reportedly grew 58 per cent in 2011, with 272 million units sold worldwide, accounting for 31 per cent of all mobile device sales.
