The Digital Account Manager is the direct/focal contact between the Agency and the Client and has ultimate responsibility for the client account and to guarantee proper delivery of digital products/services.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

The Account Manager works in conjunction with the Account Director to fulfill client campaign planning, execution, management and analysis. This role interfaces with our clients on a daily basis, and is responsible for building and maintaining a strong working relationship. This position is designed for someone with at least 3 to 5 years of work experience and is the key contributor for all client day to day issues and projects.

Account Managers also work closely with Media Planners, Client Service Engineers and websites requiring experience managing timelines and tight deadlines, project management skills, the ability to multi-task, problem solve, a ‘can-do’ attitude, and a proven ability to work in a team environment. This role reports to a Manager, Client Service.

1. Client Service

  • Demonstrates bigger picture understanding of client’s marketing strategy and can communicate how current data insights/tactics associate with longer-term strategy objectives
  • Anticipates client questions and has thought out answers/solutions
  • Ability to take complex ideas and explain to clients
  • Always thinking about how we can better serve clients and grow their business
  • Ability to manage difficult and complex issues and partner w/Account Manager /Director
  • Owns area of expertise and can confidently answer client/team questions
  • Presents at client meetings and industry events as needed
  • Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to delight the client and deliver excellent service

2. Account Management

  • Performs day-to-day client contact
  • Coordinate deliverables for weekly status reports (projects, due dates, etc)
  • Facilitates/leads weekly status calls
  • Trains/mentors team members when necessary
  • Provide project management on all projects within the account team
  • Prioritizes & sets expectations on deliverables
  • Manages all tactical client communication and cross team coordination
  • Multiple channel management as needed (branding, affiliate, search, email, web media, etc.)
  • Provide POV’s in weekly client status calls/meetings
  • Specific client requests:
  • Competitive analysis

  • Sample budgets
  • Media analysis

3. Campaign Management

  • Forecasting & budget allocation
  • Campaign planning
  • Campaign execution
  • Creative optimization
  • Site optimization
  • Action tag strategy
  • Delivery of Q/A

4. Planning

  • Ensure the interactive advertising creative teams are given inspiring, single minded briefs
  • Use research, both primary and secondary, to deliver true consumer insight
  • Act as a bridge between smart strategic thinking and great creative solutions
  • Define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to drive insights
  • Keep abreast of developments within the client’s industry and pass on this knowledge to the rest of the team

5. Analytics and Reporting

  • Produce, analyze and deliver customer insights based on web site behavior, customer surveys, and other quantitative data sources.
  • Develops a strong understanding of the clients’ business, current digital marketing initiatives, and customer experience goals. Actively works towards insights and recommendations that will help Ethos deliver solutions to meet these goals.
  • Work with Sr. Consultants or account teams to translate client requests into analytic work plans
  • Enjoys working with clients and team members to help them understand the implications of Customer Insights.

6. Quality Assurance

  • Reviewing functional and technical specifications to develop test plans
  • Development and execution of acceptance tests
  • Test planning for new feature development
  • Participate in training and mentoring other members of the QA staff
  • Work closely with cross-functional organizations, project teams and clients to develop project schedules, execute test plans and cases and deliver high quality products
  • Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

This position requires familiarity with digital campaign management, performance measurement and analytics, online ad operations, and related tools and technology platforms.

  • Excel and MS Office proficiency required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong client-service orientation and proven team player
  • Flexible to evolving responsibilities and last minute changes
  • Solid knowledge of Atlas and other relevant technologies
  • Ability to easily work with data and come up with insights
  • Demonstrated knowledge of online marketing (ad units, pricing, concepts behind, etc)
  • Trained in client service skills where relevant
  • General knowledge of research tools

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA or equivalent experience required
  • Internet and/or traditional marketing experience preferred
